"Simba or Pumba?"

Remember the "Lion King"? Wherein Mufasa thrived,

and had a vision of ruling all of the land,

When Scar tags along and screws the plan

killing Mufasa and turning the jungle bland.

That is exactly the state of the Vision 2020

that our Honourable APJ Abdul Kalam had.
The Government popped out of nowhere like Scar,

leaving us behind like Simba: confused and sad.

But Boy weren't we daring! Like our little Simba

to comeback for redemption and glory.

We rather preferred to be Timon and Pumba,

Saying "Hakunama-tata" and went back to snoring

We traded our voice for wealth and security

rather than using it to revolt and oppose.

We feared change more than the corrupt

and just wasted the voice to rant and suppose.

In a nation full of opportunities and potential,

We are buried in "What ifs" and "What nots".

and we also fear failure than absolute standstill

and just settle for whatever we've got.

And yeah, 2020 has knocked on our doors,

to wake us up from our long hibernation.

So will we be Pumba, finding solace in inactivity?

Or will we be Simba, restoring the peace back in the nation?
